Tama Twine+ featuring Impax technology continues to gain momentum, with rapid growth driven by more end users putting it to the test in the field. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with operators reporting smoother performance, significantly reduced downtime, and noticeable cost savings. As more customers experience these benefits firsthand, the adoption of Impax technology is accelerating, reinforcing its reputation as a reliable, high-efficiency solution for modern baling operations.

A quick tech tip for all silage wrapper operators who are finishing up or nearing the end of the season: avoid leaving rolls of stretch film / wrap on the machine. Instead, remove them and store the rolls upright, just as they arrive on the pallet. This simple step relieves tension on your PSU (pre-stretch unit) springs, helping extend their life and maintain consistent performance. While you’re at it, give your PSU rollers a good clean to remove any buildup—doing it now makes the job far easier than waiting until the next season in nine or ten months’ time.

It has certainly been a different and challenging season. Rain in the south continues to push silage production, while hay and straw are well underway across northern Victoria and into NSW. Tasmania is enjoying a bumper season, and straw is now in full swing over in WA. For anyone needing a helping hand to beat the weather, we have Hay Guard in stock—an effective preservative to help get hay baled before conditions turn. And if you need any products to finish off your season, whether it’s twine, net, or film, get in touch with us and we’ll be happy to assist.

Keep an eye out for our Twine Twine+ Tour coming in 2026. This event series will shine a spotlight on our market-leading twine, the R&D investment behind it, and the technology that’s driving its success. Attendees will also have the chance to gain hands-on experience alongside contractors in the field. We’re excited to announce that global experts will be joining us to present on all things twine—making this a must-attend event for anyone in the baling industry.

Looking ahead, we’re gearing up to begin our R&D twine trials in Western Australia and Victoria, with a strong focus on the continual improvement of our Impax HD twine range. In January, our annual netwrap weathering trials will also commence in Northern Victoria. Stay tuned for updates on these initiatives and more as we continue driving innovation across our product range.

Thank you to all our Tama customers for your continued support, and I wish everyone a safe and happy Christmas. As always, please feel free to reach out any time if you need support, technical guidance, or product-specific solutions.

Kind Regards
Darrell Butler
