Tama Milestones
1950

Tama is founded
in Kibbutz Mishmar Ha’Emek, Israel.

1967

first extruder and twisters
are acquired to produce ropes and twine.

1970

Kibbutz Galed
joins Tama as a partner.

1973

The first two knitting machines
arrive at Tama and begin production of potato sacks.

1987

first bale netwraps start to be produced and Tama expands production capacity significantly.

1990

TamaNet USA, is established – our first overseas sales and marketing subsidiary.

1992

FlexNet® is launched by Tama – a revolution in pallet netting for pallets that need to breathe.

1995

Tama UAT (current name: Tama U.K. Ltd) sales and marketing company is established.
Tama (UK) Ltd production site is established.

1998

Edge To Edge® technology is launched by Tama and offers complete crop protection for round bales.

1999

Novatex Italia joins the Tama Group.

2000

Tama CE sales and marketing company is established in Germany.

2001

CoverEdge technology – is launched.This joint development of Tama’s netwrap and John Deere’s baler, allowing coverage of the net over the edge of the bale.
Tama Scandinavia sales and marketing company is established in Sweden.

2003

Alon Tavor production site is established in Israel.

2005

Tama France sales and marketing company is established.

2006

Tama UAT (Ireland) sales and marketing company is established.

2007

Bale+ technology is launched and Tama begins production of the market’s longest netwrap rolls ever.

2008

Tama Canada sales and marketing company is established.

2009

TamaWrap® – is launched – cotton wrap for round modules that is specially designed for John Deere Round Module Cotton Harvesters.
Tama Polska sales and marketing company is established.
Tama Hungary production site , sales and marketing companies are established.

2010

Agri Novatex France sales and marketing company is established under the umbrella of Tama France.

2011

Tamapack production site is established in Poland.

2012

TamaWrap® production site is established in Alon Tavor in Israel.

2013

John Deere B-Wrap® is launched by Tama and John Deere – a unique wrap with breathable material that provides barn quality hay, without the barn.

2014

Tama Brasil is established.
Saint Germaine Agricultural Division is integrated into Tama France.
Teufelberger Agricultural Division in Austria is integrated into the Tama Group.

2015

Sidagri Crop joins the Tama Group under the umbrella of Novatex Italia.

2017

Tama Australia is established as part of the Tama Group.
Smart Twine Solutions production site in Vietnam joins the Tama Group.

2018

Bridon USA joins Tama Group.

2020

Together we grow – Celebrating our 70 years anniversary.
